With this smart office Peak Development is responding to the trends of ‘wellbeing’ and ‘healthy workspace’.
Unique for an office, and unique in the Netherlands, is the central park in the heart of the building, 45 metres above the city of Utrecht. A park high above the city, always green and lively, regardless of the seasons and with its own eco and climate system. But that’s not all. This building promotes wellbeing and productivity and reduces sickness absence among its users.

Smart building
Central Park is an all-electric office, supplied with green power, making its operation entirely CO2-neutral. The building has BREEAM Excellent certification with energy label A+ and has a heat and cold storage system. Central Park is also a smart office, with an IoT (Internet of Things) infrastructure that includes presence detection, a smart mobility concept and a smart façade. As the level of CO2 rises, the façade increases the ventilation. Users are therefore guaranteed a healthy indoor climate enabling them to perform well.
Healthy employees
With Central Park as a healthy workspace, the first lessees ABN AMRO, McDonalds Nederland and IWG have consciously put the welfare of their employees first. The office building has been developed with APF International and Angelo Gordon and is now part of Bouwinvest’s portfolio.
