Peak Development organized the purchase and redevelopment of the Citroën buildings on behalf of Bouwinvest Real Estate. For the South Building we developed a new multifunctional format with an office, retail and hospitality function. During the summer of 2019, Pon Holdings transformed this building into the ‘Move’ experience centre: the centre of mobility.
The Citroën buildings comprise approx. 15,500 m² (The Garage) and 10,000 m² (Move). Both are superbly situated alongside the Olympic Stadium on Stadionplein, hence the overarching name of the project: The Olympic Amsterdam
In collaboration with our partners, we demolished half of the South Building to make space for an underground car park. We developed the space above according to a design by Bierman Henket and achieved a new, multifunctional format: an office, retail and hospitality function, also accommodating the Madame Cyclette restaurant and the Michelin-starred restaurant Wils. Finally, we managed the negotiations to let the space to Pon Holdings. This family firm transformed the South Building into the ‘Move’ experience centre: the centre of mobility.
Specially developed interactive games lead young and old through the past, present and future. Move is also home to the ‘Ride Out’; a place where keen cyclists can see the innovations of tomorrow, enjoy a cycle ride with professional cyclists and join workshops.
