Weesperplein 4, AmsterdamCapital C is notable as the most inspirational office building for the creative industry in the Netherlands. What’s more, at MIPIM, the world’s largest real estate event, Capital C won the award for the best transformed office building in Europe in 2020. Peak Development was awarded the contract thanks to its expertise in inner-city complexity.
At the site where diamonds used to be traded is now the leading creative hub of Amsterdam. Sijthoff Zadelhoff renamed the former Diamond Exchange as Capital C, the capital C standing for creativity. The meeting rooms and co-working spaces bring together young creatives with established names, freelancers with creative agencies, and creativity with commerce. Throughout the building are artworks that add to the exceptional atmosphere.

Inner-city complexity
In collaboration with our partners we made the basement accessible and added extra floors. A great challenge, right in the heart of Amsterdam. This project has won a number of prizes, thanks also to the technical knowledge and expertise of Peak Development.
Dome of Amsterdam
Peak Development gave Braaksma Roos Architects the task of restoring the entire roof edge to its original style. We asked Zwarts and Jansma Architects to add extra floors: the ‘High Light’, better known as ‘the Dome’. The result? A fantastic office building with a grand café on the ground floor and the most beautiful rooftop in Amsterdam.
